Painting with the children at Kakunyu
There is very little chance for doing anything creative at school, and anyway paper is expensive and not readily available. We took with us water-based paints in vast quantity, a roll of wallpaper-backing paper, and shirts to keep uniforms clean, and theĀ children leaped at the chance to be just children.
- Concentration was immense
- Watching was almost as exciting
- It was so lovely to just make a mess
- Some of the colourful results
- The shirts remained amazingly pristine
- There’s nothing like paint, a brush, and lots of paper
- Nambiru Jo lent a hand in cleaning up
- The joy on some faces was intense
- This little girl painted a very complex picture
- She painted it with great care
- Sylyvia also had a go
- Jan and Sylyvia had a great time together
- I wonder what that is?
- Everyone took such care
- My painting
- There was such pride in the results
